Polish ski resorts raise lift ticket prices for the upcoming winter season

Ski operators in Poland announced higher prices for day, hour and multi-day passes, with increases ranging from 15 zł to 10 zł per day.

Polish ski stations are preparing for the new season with noticeable price hikes. Tatry Super Ski, which runs 19 resorts across the Carpathians and Slovakia, raised adult day-ticket prices by 15 zł and added 10 zł per day to multi-day passes; a one-day holiday pass will cost 200 zł and a two-day pass 370 zł, while regular-season rates drop to 185 zł and 345 zł. A five-day package is set at 785 zł, meaning two adults would pay 1570 zł for the full package.

Grupa Pingwina increased its four-hour adult ticket from 140 zł to 150 zł, and Polskie Koleje Linowe’s season pass climbs from 2099 zł in early pre-sale to 2799 zł after December, a 700 zł difference. Operators attribute the hikes to higher operating costs, especially artificial snowmaking, which one station manager said cost 100 000 zł for six days of snow production. Despite strong revenues last winter, the added expenses necessitate the price adjustments.

Why it matters

Higher lift-ticket costs will affect families planning ski trips, increasing overall holiday expenses in Poland.
