Poll shows former reality star’s supporters largely backing incumbent Bass over Raman

Median Strategies surveyed 560 Los Angeles voters from late July to early August, revealing that incumbent Mayor Karen Bass holds an 11.8-point advantage over City Councilwoman Nithya Raman in the upcoming runoff. Bass sits just above the 50% threshold needed for an outright win, while 11.4% of participants remain undecided. The most striking finding is the realignment of Spencer Pratt’s former supporters: 85.2% now back Bass, compared with only 6.8% for Raman, and 8% remain unsure.

Geographically, Bass dominates South LA (55.7% to 33.9%) and the San Fernando Valley (53.9% to 37.1%), whereas Raman leads narrowly in the Eastside and Northeast (45.8% to 44.6%). The Harbor/South Bay region shows a deadlock at 38.8% each and the highest undecided rate at 22.4%. Councilmember Imedla Padilla criticized Bass’s leadership style in a separate comment. The poll’s confidence interval is 95% with a ±4.1-point margin.
