Polymarket appoints veteran finance leader Warren Jenson as chief financial officer
Polymarket announced that Warren Jenson, a 69-year-old finance veteran, will serve as its new CFO as the firm seeks to regain market share.
Polymarket revealed that Warren Jenson, a 69-year-old executive with over thirty years of financial leadership experience, will take over as chief financial officer. Jenson’s résumé includes finance chief roles at Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines and Nielsen, and board positions at Dropbox and Ripple. The appointment follows a series of senior hires aimed at reversing a recent decline in market share to competitor Kalshi, which posted $40 billion in August trading volume compared with Polymarket’s $48.4 billion total across both platforms.
CEO Shayne Coplan emphasized that Jenson’s expertise will be vital for scaling the business. Earlier this year, Polymarket also brought in former Uber executive Travis VanderZanden as chief growth officer and partnered with NBA star LeBron James to promote its platform.
Why it matters
The hire signals Polymarket’s push to strengthen its financial leadership and compete more effectively in the fast-growing prediction-market sector.
