Portsmouth grandmother sheds five stone with Slimming World, now active with granddaughter
Emma Artemiou, 51, lost five stone through Slimming World support and can now play on the floor with her two-year-old granddaughter.
Emma Artemiou, a 51-year-old former school cook from Portsmouth, Hampshire, was classified as obese at 13st 6lb in 2021, dealing with menopause-related fatigue, hot flushes and the loss of her father. She joined a Slimming World group and, without resorting to diet jabs, lost five stone, now weighing 8st 6lb. The transformation has eased pressure on her knees, boosted her confidence and allowed her to join regular seaside walks, cycling sessions and consider returning to tennis.
Her husband Jamie also enrolled in the programme in June 2024. Emma highlights that being able to get up and down with her two-year-old granddaughter Margo and enjoy playground activities is the most rewarding outcome.
