Portugal records the steepest year-on-year house price rise in the EU
Eurostat data shows Portugal's housing prices jumped 16.5% year-on-year, the highest increase among EU members.
According to Eurostat, house prices across the Eurozone rose 4.0% and 4.7% in the EU between April and June. Portugal led the bloc with a 16.5% year-on-year gain, followed by Bulgaria at 15.5% and Lithuania at 14.3%. Only Finland, Luxembourg and France saw price declines.
