According to idealista's September 2026 housing price index, Portugal's real-estate market continued to climb, with all 20 regions reporting higher prices than a year earlier. Vila Real recorded the strongest annual growth at 17.8%, followed by Leiria and Beja. Lisbon stayed the most expensive city, while Castelo Branco offered the lowest median price. Among districts, only Faial saw a decline, whereas Porto Santo posted the largest jump at 31.7%. The Centre region posted the highest regional increase, and the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon remained the costliest market overall.
