Portuguese drone maker Beyond Vision secures multi-million euro funding to boost defense production
Beyond Vision announced a new financing round led by Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital, with additional capital from ActiveCap. The funds will support scaling industrial output, AI-driven R&D, and global market expansion.
Beyond Vision, a leading Portuguese unmanned-air-system producer, closed a financing round this Thursday with Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital as co-lead investors and ActiveCap adding further capital. The capital injection will be allocated to three core areas: upgrading operational infrastructure and industrial production lines to satisfy growing global demand for autonomous drones; intensifying research and development focused on advanced artificial-intelligence algorithms and cloud-based management tools; and accelerating the company’s internationalisation strategy in defence, security and critical-infrastructure sectors.
Founded in 2013, the firm now employs roughly 150 people, has exceeded its 2025 revenue targets, and holds official supplier status with NATO. CEO Dário Pedro and Chairman Luís Miguel Campos emphasized the strategic importance of scaling up to compete in high-value autonomous-vehicle markets.
Why it matters
The investment enables a key European drone supplier to expand production and AI capabilities, strengthening defence tech supply chains.
