Power outages persist in Brittany and Normandy after storms Austen and Boelo

Enedis reported that electricity supply remained disrupted in parts of Brittany and Normandy on Sunday noon following the passage of storms Austen and Boelo.

After storms Austen and Boelo swept across western France, Enedis confirmed that electricity supply was still interrupted in many areas of Brittany and Normandy as of Sunday midday. The utility indicated that restoration teams, including its own staff and workers from partner firms, were actively engaged in repair work. Their strategy prioritized the medium-voltage grid to bring power back to the largest number of customers, then shifted focus to the low-voltage network and more dispersed, complex failures.

The storms had previously caused a peak outage affecting a large number of households. Ongoing efforts aim to fully re-energize the affected regions in the coming days.
