Pregnant Woman Fatally Beaten with Stick by Husband in Uttar Pradesh Village
A 24-year-old woman in Hardoi district, about seven months pregnant, was killed by her husband with a wooden stick, and the husband’s mother was injured trying to intervene.
In Myora village of Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district, 24-year-old Kiran, who was seven months pregnant and mother to a one-year-old child, was allegedly beaten to death with a wooden stick by her husband Vishal following a domestic quarrel. The assault took place around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, prompting Vishal’s mother Prema to intervene, during which she was also struck and injured. Neighbours heard the commotion, transported the wounded Kiran to the local Community Health Centre, where she was declared dead.
Police reached the scene after being alerted, detained Vishal, and forwarded the body for a post-mortem examination. Bilgram Kotwali inspector Vijay Kumar confirmed that the investigation will examine the dispute’s origins and the family’s complaint before any further legal action.
