He addressed ministers, presidential staff and senior leaders from Samsung and SK, urging them to combine industrial complex construction with residential, educational, healthcare and cultural amenities.
Lee said the ultimate aim is to draw young professionals to areas beyond the capital and distribute economic benefits evenly across the country. He warned that convincing local residents of the positive impact of these high-tech industries is crucial. The president also stressed the need for clear accountability, coordinated timelines and proactive problem-solving to avoid investment delays.
