President Marcos formalizes blockchain-based platform to boost transparency of public spending

The executive order, signed on Sept. 28 and published the next day, institutionalizes the Centralized Open Monitoring Platform for Appropriations and Spending Statistics (Compass). The platform, managed by the Department of Budget and Management, will employ blockchain and emerging tech to create a unified online system for tracking public funds.
