President Nicușor Dan moves Brigadier General Toma Constantin Marius-Cezar to reserve
President Nicușor Dan signed a decree placing Brigadier General Toma Constantin Marius-Cezar on reserve after a year leading the Bucharest Gendarmerie.
President Nicușor Dan issued a decree that moves Brigadier General Toma Constantin Marius-Cezar to the reserve pool. The officer, who holds a one-star rank, had overseen the Bucharest Gendarmerie after previously directing the Argeș County Gendarmerie Inspectorate. The Bucharest position had remained unfilled after General-major Cătălin Stegăroiu assumed the role of first deputy to the inspector general of the Romanian Gendarmerie.
Officials said the decision resulted from a managerial analysis aimed at ensuring continuity of command in the capital’s force. Toma Constantin Marius-Cezar holds degrees in law and economics and also serves as an honorary priest for deaf communities in Pitești during weekends and holidays.
