President Nicușor Dan to inaugurate modernized Bistrița county hospital

President Nicușor Dan is scheduled to travel to Bistrița for his inaugural official visit to the municipality in almost seven years, where he will preside over the final ceremony for the renovated County Emergency Clinical Hospital. The overhaul includes full digitalization and extensive upgrades to the facility, representing a milestone in Romania’s health-care infrastructure. Funding for the work came from European recovery resources, contributions from the Ministry of Health, and financial support from the County Council and Bistrița City Hall.

The ceremony will highlight the completion of the new building wing that was previously opened at the end of the prior year. The previous presidential visit to the region was made by Klaus Iohannis in the autumn of 2019 during an electoral campaign.
