Prime Healthcare sues nurses' union over flyer campaign targeting executives' Brentwood homes

Prime Healthcare’s founder, chairman and CEO Prem Reddy has sued the California Nurses Association and its affiliate National Nurses United, alleging that union members launched a harassment campaign against executives’ homes in the affluent Brentwood area of Los Angeles. Beginning on Sept. 3, activists posted flyers featuring aerial images, property details and messages like “Where in the World is Dr. Reddy?” and attached banners to streetlights, trees and private cars, even near a local school where children witnessed the materials.

The complaint says the campaign caused fear for the families, with younger children kept inside and unable to play in their yard. Prime sent a cease-and-desist letter on Sept. 9, but a union attorney allegedly linked the removal of the flyers to a meeting request, which Prime called economic extortion. The company also reports no response from the LAPD or Los Angeles City Council after seeking help. Prime is asking a judge to bar picketing within 300 feet of the residences and to award nominal and punitive damages.
