Prime Minister Modi to Open 10th India Mobile Congress, Spotlighting 6G and AI

The 10th India Mobile Congress begins on Oct 7 in New Delhi, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi slated to inaugurate the summit on Oct 8.

The India Mobile Congress, now in its tenth edition, launches on Oct 7 at the Yashobhoomi complex in New Delhi and runs through Oct 10 under the banner “Scale Without Boundaries.” Day one includes talks by Lauren Dreyer of Starlink Business Operations, Japan’s vice-minister Hideo Fuseda, and Indian officials Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Amit Agrawal and Rajkumar Upadhyay, as well as representatives from Qualcomm, GSMA, Ericsson, Jio, Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel and Intel.

On Oct 8 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally open the event, followed by keynote speeches from Reliance Jio chairman Akash Ambani, Bharti Enterprises founder Sunil Bharti Mittal and Aditya Birla Group chair Kumar Mangalam Birla, with expectations of new government announcements and partnerships. The program covers next-generation networks, 6G, AI-native telecom, intelligent RAN, cybersecurity, satellite communications, cloud-edge computing and semiconductor advances.

An accompanying exhibition will showcase live demos of 5G/6G, AI, satellite tech, advanced manufacturing and deep-tech startups through the ASPIRE programme. Organized jointly by the Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India, the summit aims to cement the country’s role in global connectivity innovation.
