Prime Minister’s Office probes overlapping contracts of Kaminski’s firms with Parliament

In early August the Prime Minister’s Office lodged a criminal complaint for alleged mismanagement and official abuse tied to contracts involving large sums of public spending. The complaint was supplemented this week, and the National Investigative Office of the Emergency Police confirmed receipt. Prosecutors have asked that the Parliament’s Office provide its contracts with Kaminski & Buranits Kft., a firm owned by Kaminski Fanny, and that the legality of invoking procurement-law exemptions be reviewed.

Kaminski, head of Triton Kft., publicly framed her services to the Cabinet as a continuous 24-hour availability. Records show that Kaminski & Buranits Kft. held a concurrent contract with the Parliament’s Office for the same timeframe, preparing social-media content for the Fidesz faction. The Ministry says it must determine whether the same work was billed under both agreements, which could represent a financial loss to the state.
