Prime Video launches AI-driven lip-sync dubbing for German series Maxton Hall

Prime Video introduced an AI-assisted dubbing technique that aligns English voice tracks with the on-screen lip movements of actors in the German series Maxton Hall. The system, built using a combination of artificial-intelligence and visual-effects processes, is now available for Seasons 1 and 2 across all regions and will be applied to the upcoming third season, scheduled for release on December 9. Amazon describes the feature as a way to deliver a seamless viewing experience that keeps audiences engaged with the story.

Raf Soltanovich, a technology vice-president at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, said the tool helps creators reach broader global audiences while maintaining creative oversight. The company plans to extend the AI lip-sync capability to additional titles in the future.
