Prince Harry may secure £20 million Amazon backing for 2027 Invictus Games

Prince Harry is reportedly negotiating a £20 million contribution from Jeff Bezos' Amazon to support the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

After Boeing withdrew its sponsorship, Prince Harry’s Invictus Games, scheduled for Birmingham in 2027, are reportedly seeking a £20 million injection from Amazon, led by Jeff Bezos. The proposed funding is said to act as a financial lifeline for the charity and may coincide with Meghan Markle’s presence at the Games. Insiders note that mutual acquaintances, including Oprah Winfrey and Kris Jenner, helped bridge the gap between the Sussexes and the Bezos household.

Earlier links between Harry and Bezos date back to a 2024 aviation awards ceremony where both received honors. The Invictus Games team has affirmed that existing funding sources remain sufficient but welcomes additional partners as the event approaches.

Why it matters

A major corporate donation could secure the future of a high-profile charity sports event for veterans.
