Prince Sverre Magnus absent from Princess Astrid funeral program

According to the royal household’s official itinerary, King Haakon, Queen Mette-Marit, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Queen Sonja will attend the funeral of Princess Astrid and Mr. Fernes. Prince Sverre Magnus does not appear on the list. Earlier, the palace disclosed that the 20-year-old will begin a bachelor’s degree in Business & Management at Forward College in Lisbon, with studies slated to start in early September.

This timing could be why he is not listed among the funeral attendees. A royal commentator expressed the view that the prince is likely to remain in Norway until after the ceremony, delaying his departure for Portugal. The palace has not responded to inquiries about his attendance, and no official statement has been issued.
