Princess of Wales says she misses Prince George and looks forward to his half-term return

The Princess of Wales told shoppers at an East Anglia Children’s Hospices charity shop that she has missed her son Prince George and is eager to have him home for the upcoming half-term break.

While supporting East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices as its patron, the Princess of Wales visited a charity shop in Hoveton near Norwich and expressed that she has been missing her son Prince George, who is currently boarding at Eton College. She told shoppers she is excited for his homecoming during the upcoming half-term and suggested the family may have plans elsewhere during the break. The visit included a tour of a construction site at The Treehouse hospice in Ipswich, where she reviewed plans for a new hydrotherapy pool and wellbeing suite.

She chatted with volunteers Denise Ashton and Essie Landsborough, and helped sort donations, noting the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on shoppers. The charity operates 58 shops across East Anglia, aiming to raise about £3 million this year.
