Pro-Duterte Vlogger Killed in Early-Morning Shooting on Surigao Highway
A 48-year-old pro-Duterte vlogger, Philip Engbino, was shot dead while driving a company pickup on a national road in Carrascal, Surigao del Sur early Sunday.
Philip Engbino, a married manager for EZMMI GenCon, a contractor of Strong Group Mining Corp, was attacked around 6 a.m. on a highway in Barangay Bacolod. He was traveling in a white SGMC-owned pickup when gunfire struck the vehicle. Company logs show the truck left the mining site’s Gate 2 on the afternoon of October 3. Local police have not yet released an official statement about the incident.
