Pro wrestler Andy “The Butcher” Williams dies after collapsing during tag match

Andy “The Butcher” Williams suffered a medical episode and collapsed during a tag-team bout in Millvale, Pennsylvania, and was later pronounced dead.

While competing in a tag-team contest alongside Jesse “The Blade” Guilmette at Mr. Small’s Theater in Millvale, Pennsylvania, Andy “The Butcher” Williams experienced a medical emergency and collapsed in the ring. Medical staff and paramedics entered the arena, administered chest compressions and used an AED before moving him to a nearby hospital, where he was officially pronounced dead. The sudden tragedy prompted the cancellation of the rest of the show, and authorities have not released a definitive cause of death.

In addition to his wrestling career with All Elite Wrestling, Williams performed rhythm guitar for the metal group Every Time I Die. A tribute group posted “Butcher Forever” following the confirmation of his death.
