Prohibition Brewing Company to Close and List Property for $2.75 Million

Prohibition Brewing Company, a family-run brewpub in Vista, will shut its doors permanently at the end of the month and has listed its 6,687-square-foot campus for $2.75 million. The business was launched in 2011 by Ron, Kathy and Kyle Adams and has served the North County San Diego community for nearly 15 years. Kyle Adams explained that his parents’ retirement and his own desire for a change, combined with inflation-driven cost pressures and more cautious drinkers, led to the decision.

The sale includes three commercial buildings on over an acre, complete with brewing equipment, making it a turnkey opportunity for a new operator. Its position along Highway 76 and Highway 78 also offers potential for retail or other redevelopment projects. The announcement follows the recent closure of Stone Brewing’s Escondido campus and reflects a broader downturn that has seen more than 20 San Diego breweries close in the past couple of years.
