Prosecution closes Jana Wibawa case after final witness testimony

In a hearing before High Court judge Noor Ruwena Md Nurdin, Deputy Public Prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin declared the Jana Wibawa case closed after the final witness, SPRM investigator Mazery Mohd Zaini, finished his evidence. The prosecution indicated that no additional witnesses would be called and presented six witnesses, including former chief secretary Muhyiddin Marzuki Mohamad and businessman Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad, to the defence.

The court ordered both parties to file written arguments by or before 25 November, with oral arguments scheduled for 26 November and 1-3 December. During the session, former Prime Minister Muhyiddin, aged 79, was represented by lawyers Hisyam Teh Poh Teik, Amer Hamzah Arshad, Rosli Dahlan and Chetan Jethwani. Earlier testimony had featured former finance minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz and executives from KCJ Engineering, Nepturis and Mamfor. Muhyiddin faces three counts of abusing his position for RM25.3 million in alleged bribes linked to the Jana Wibawa project.
