Prosus injects $100 million into Sachin Bansal's Navi, valuing it at $1.3 billion

Fintech startup Navi has secured a $100 million investment from Prosus, giving the company a valuation of roughly $1.3 billion.

Navi, the Bengaluru-based fintech created by Sachin Bansal after his departure from Flipkart, has closed a $100 million financing round with Prosus, marking its inaugural institutional backer. Sources say the transaction lifts Navi’s valuation to approximately $1.3 billion. The funding, pending customary conditions, arrives while the company prepares a public offering that could raise about ₹30 billion.

Navi, which operates the country’s fourth-largest UPI app and reported ₹30.91 billion in revenue for the fiscal year ending March 2026, also posted a net loss of ₹4.66 billion. Its lending arm now manages over ₹130 billion in assets, and the firm claims to have reached consolidated profitability in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. Bansal described the Prosus investment as a strong endorsement of the institution Navi is building.

Why it matters

The funding gives Navi the resources to pursue an IPO and expand its growing fintech platform in India.
