PSD leader Grindeanu blames interim cabinet for economic and social collapse

At the TSD summer school in Neptun, Sorin Grindeanu, president of the Social Democratic Party, launched a harsh attack on interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, labeling him a "CAP accountant" responsible for Romania's slide into economic and social bankruptcy. Grindeanu pointed to one in three young Romanians being unemployed, combined with low salaries, high inflation, expensive housing and tighter credit conditions, as factors eroding financial independence.

He criticized the education system as collapsing and accused the interim cabinet of prioritising numbers over people. The PSD leader urged the formation of a fully empowered government, ideally led by PSD or built around it, to reverse the policies he described as decimating the younger generation. He claimed that no group—youth, elders, mothers, children, public or private sectors—has escaped the impact of Bolojan's policies. Grindeanu concluded by expressing hope that a PSD-centered government will be installed in the coming weeks.
