PSD says it is ready to lead a new government and outline fiscal policy
The Social Democratic Party announced its readiness to form a government and presented its economic priorities to Standard & Poor’s representatives.
During a Friday discussion with Standard & Poor’s officials, PSD officials conveyed that the party is set to take charge of a new government to resolve the ongoing political crisis. They outlined a policy platform focused on fiscal consolidation, boosting investment, and enhancing tax collection efficiency. PSD also stressed the need for a full-authority cabinet capable of handling macro-economic stability and passing the next year’s budget.
The party highlighted strategic partnerships to attract foreign investment and pledged to reduce social gaps while supporting disadvantaged groups. Representatives at the meeting included deputies Marian Neacșu, Bogdan Ivan, Alexandru Rogobete, Adrian Câciu, Florin Manole, and vice-president Mihnea Costoiu, all reiterating support for European and Euro-Atlantic values.
