PSD says ready for early elections as Mureșan finalizes cabinet list

Claudiu Manda, the secretary general of PSD, used a Facebook message to declare that the party possesses a clear plan for the near future and does not fear a renewed vote by the electorate. He argued that one outlet government proposal by Siegfried Mureșan would merely extend the policies of the previous Ilie Bolojan administration, which he said have deepened economic problems. Manda emphasized that PSD is ready either to assume governance or to contest early elections, presenting an alternative focused on reviving the economy and national development.

On the same day, designated premier Siegfried Mureșan announced that the government program and the list of proposed ministers will be submitted to Parliament, with ministerial hearings set for Monday and Tuesday and a plenary vote slated for Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday at the latest. The cabinet proposal is supported by the parties PNL, USR and UDMR, whereas PSD has unanimously decided to oppose the vote on the proposed cabinet.
