PTPTN sets RM250 million target for Simpan SSPN savings drive 2026
PTPTN aims to gather RM250 million in deposits during its Simpan SSPN Savings Month 2026, running from Sept 25 to Nov 1.
The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) has launched its ninth Simpan SSPN Savings Month 2026, targeting RM250 million in new deposits between Sept 25 and Nov 1. The campaign coincides with World Savings Day on Oct 31 and adopts an "Under The Sea" motif to stress the value of early financial planning for higher-education costs. PTPTN highlighted benefits such as up to RM8,000 annual tax relief, free takaful protection, and a matching grant of up to RM10,000 for eligible families.
Throughout the year, promotional draws awarded cash prizes and a Yamaha motorcycle, with winners citing the scheme’s role in securing their children’s futures. The programme also features activities like colouring contests and an e-sports challenge, offering parents direct access to PTPTN representatives. Officials hope the initiative will reduce future dependence on student loans.
