Public broadcaster ends contract with IKO Műsorgyártó, shifts Petőfi production in-house
The public broadcaster and IKO Műsorgyártó Magyarország Kft have mutually terminated their agreement, with future Petőfi programming to be produced internally.
The Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) announced that its contract with IKO Műsorgyártó Magyarország Kft has been dissolved by mutual consent. Consequently, all new content for the Petőfi brand will be created using the broadcaster's own resources. Rights to already completed programs now belong to Magyar Rádió és Televízió Nonprofit Zrt., while IKO relinquishes its previous usage rights.
Why it matters
The shift brings Petőfi content production under direct public control, affecting media ownership and programming.
