Puig completes full takeover of dermocosmetics brand Isdin from Esteve
Puig has acquired the remaining stake in Isdin, gaining 100% ownership of the skin-care company from Corporación Químico-Farmacéutica Esteve.
Puig signed an agreement with Corporación Químico-Farmacéutica Esteve to purchase the remaining share of Isdin, bringing its ownership to full 100%. The purchase price includes an upfront cash component at closing and a subsequent fixed deferred payment, funded through a combination of internal resources and borrowing. Completion is expected in the first quarter of 2027, with the deferred payment scheduled for a later date, subject to regulatory approval from competition authorities.
Until the transaction closes, Isdin will continue operating under its current governance structure. Puig frames the acquisition as a key step in consolidating its dermocosmetics portfolio, building on a partnership that began five decades ago.
Why it matters
The deal gives Puig full control of a leading skin-care brand, reshaping competition in the dermocosmetics sector.
