Pulitzer finalist 'Here There Are Blueberries' slated for Broadway debut this fall

The Pulitzer-nominated play 'Here There Are Blueberries' will open on Broadway in November, with previews beginning on Nov. 2 at the Barrymore Theatre.

Pulitzer Prize finalist 'Here There Are Blueberries' is scheduled to begin Broadway previews on Nov. 2 at the Barrymore Theatre, with an opening night slated for Nov. 9. The play, written by Moisés Kaufman and Amanda Gronich, dramatizes the discovery of a Nazi-era photo album donated to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2007, sparking curatorial debate over its handling. Kaufman will also serve as director, and the production is co-produced by La Jolla Playhouse and his Tectonic Theater Project, alongside producers Brian Lee, Dayna Lee, Bruce Roberts, Sue Vaccaro and Ricky Stevens.

The work debuted in a workshop at Miami New Drama, premiered at La Jolla Playhouse in 2022, and appeared Off-Broadway in 2024 at New York Theatre Workshop. Casting announcements are pending. Kaufman and executive director Matt Joslyn emphasized the play’s aim to reflect on humanity through the unsettling images.
