PwC US to combine India offshoring hubs with PwC India's consulting arm in new joint venture
PwC US announced a joint venture with PwC India that will merge its India-based Acceleration Centers with the Indian consulting business, aiming for faster, more integrated service delivery.
PwC US is restructuring its offshore delivery model in India by forming a joint venture with PwC India that will unite the Acceleration Centers—offshore hubs that provide specialist and overnight support—with the Indian consulting practice. Paul Griggs, the US firm’s chief executive, said the partnership will drive growth, broaden talent access and scale the firm’s technology, engineering and AI services. The agreement, announced early Sunday, is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulator sign-off.
The integration aims to remove the “middle man” of the Acceleration Centers, reducing delays caused by renegotiating rates and terms. This marks a shift toward tighter collaboration within the PwC network, which traditionally operates as separate national firms, and mirrors similar moves by other Big Four rivals. The joint venture is positioned as a way to offer clients a more seamless, globally integrated consulting experience.
Why it matters
The JV could speed up PwC's service delivery and reshape competition among global professional-services firms.
