The Qatar Financial Centre and the US Chamber of Commerce have signed a memorandum of understanding to boost trade and investment between Qatar and the United States.

In a move to strengthen economic ties, the Qatar Financial Centre and the US Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding in Kuala Lumpur. The pact seeks to facilitate US companies looking to set up or expand operations in Qatar and the wider Gulf region, offering regulatory certainty and a supportive business environment. QFC chief executive Mansoor Al Khater noted that more than 350 US firms already operate within the QFC framework, providing a solid platform for further collaboration.

Khush Choksy, senior vice-president of International Member Relations for the US Chamber, emphasized plans for joint programmes, business dialogues and initiatives targeting shared strategic sectors such as wealth and asset management, fintech, digital assets and enterprise technology. The signing took place during a New York roundtable that coincided with the Qatar Economic Forum and the United Nations General Assembly high-level week, gathering senior US business leaders to discuss regional growth and cross-border expansion.
