Quebec Man Charged with Plotting ISIS-Inspired Chemical Attack Against Canadians
A 24-year-old from Quebec City has been charged with terrorism offences for planning an ISIS-linked chemical weapon attack aimed at Canadians.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say Louay Angoud, 24, communicated online with members of the Islamic State and gathered data to create a poison-based weapon. He faces charges including using property for terrorist purposes and possession of a dangerous weapon. A court appearance is scheduled in Quebec City. Authorities warned the plot could have targeted the Canadian public.
