Queensland police confiscate over 500 e-mobility vehicles and issue 2,300 fines

In the last three months, Queensland police have seized 558 non-compliant e-mobility devices and issued more than 2,400 traffic infringement notices.

Police across Queensland reported confiscating 558 e-mobility vehicles that did not meet legal standards. Over the same period, they handed out 2,400 traffic infringement notices to riders. The majority of fines were for not wearing helmets, while 157 riders were cited for speeding. Authorities are urging the public to review the recently updated e-mobility regulations on their website.
