Radiocom faces ransomware-like cyberattack, email service disrupted

The National Telecommunications Company (Radiocom) is investigating a cyber incident that appears to be ransomware, temporarily disabling its email system while other client services remain operational.

Radiocom reported a cyber incident that initial analysis suggests is a ransomware attack, causing its email platform to go offline temporarily. The breach was identified early in the morning, prompting swift actions to contain the threat, which appears confined to the internal network. Specialists from the National Cybersecurity Directorate have been dispatched to Radiocom's headquarters to lead the investigation.

In coordination with law enforcement agencies such as DIICOT, Radiocom is evaluating which data may have been affected. While the email service remains unavailable, all other client-facing services continue to function. The company urges clients and partners to be vigilant about any emails appearing to originate from Radiocom, recommending they avoid opening unexpected links or attachments.
