Radu Mihaiu exits Antena 3 studio after being accused of betrayal by Mihai Gâdea and guests

In a heated episode of Antena 3's "Sinteza Zilei", moderator Mihai Gâdea and invited sociologist Vladimir Ionaș accused journalist Radu Mihaiu of treason, leading Mihaiu to exit the studio and discard his blazer. A USR deputy confirmed plans to submit a complaint to the National Audiovisual Council over the incident. USR later issued a press release stating that journalism had been replaced by propaganda and that it would withdraw all representatives from the program.

The party also accused Antena 3 of a campaign that falsely associates USR and PNL/EPP MEP Siegfried Mureșan with betrayal of Romania in Brussels. USR called for an end to hateful rhetoric and warned that the show had become a political tribunal. The dispute reflects escalating tensions between USR and media outlets perceived as favoring the governing coalition.
