Rafe Judkins inks overall agreement to develop scripted series for Paramount Television

Paramount Television Studios announced that Rafe Judkins has signed an overall deal to write, develop and produce original scripted series for the studio. Matt Thunell, the studio’s president, highlighted Judkins’ skill in crafting immersive worlds and dynamic characters, expressing enthusiasm for future collaborations. Judkins, who most recently served as executive producer and showrunner on Amazon Prime Video’s three-season adaptation of “The Wheel of Time,” emphasized his desire to pursue ambitious, risk-taking television projects with Paramount.

His past credits include work on “Agents of SHIELD,” “Chuck,” and the film adaptation of “Uncharted.” The deal adds to a series of recent overall agreements signed by Paramount TV Studios following its post-merger relaunch. Other creators with similar arrangements include Ashley Lyle, Bart Nickerson, Jessica Biel’s Iron Ocean, Liz Tigelaar, Issa Rae and Jon M. Chu.
