Rajasthan Police block over 15,300 mobile numbers linked to child abuse content

Rajasthan police announced the blocking of 15,326 mobile numbers, nearly 7,800 URLs and 100 devices that were allegedly involved in sharing child sexual exploitation material online. The crackdown follows the receipt of about 25,000 inputs, many originating from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, which were examined to trace digital footprints. Investigators have registered cases in districts such as Churu, Nagaur, Alwar, Khairthal-Tijara, Sikar, Hanumangarh and Chittorgarh, targeting repeat offenders identified through tipline reports.

Authorities described how cyber criminals operate in secret paid groups on Telegram and Discord, using fake identities and direct messages, and sometimes host the material on cloud services like Google Drive. They also employ coded words and hashtags on Instagram and Facebook to initiate contact before shifting conversations to less-monitored platforms. The police emphasized ongoing monitoring of these networks and coordination with other state forces when suspects operate from outside Rajasthan, urging the public to report such content rather than share it.
