Raluca Turcan pledges tax cuts and flexible work as prospective Labor Minister

After being nominated by Siegfried Mureșan, Raluca Turcan announced a series of reforms she intends to pursue as Minister of Labor. Drawing on her earlier tenure, she emphasized the need to reduce the tax burden on wages and to scrap the additional levy applied to part-time contracts. Turcan wants to expand flexible work arrangements, aid employees who take jobs far from home, and introduce targeted programs for youth and workers over 50.

She stressed protecting pensioners by ensuring fair public salaries, indexing pensions to inflation within budget limits, and completing pension recalculations. Additionally, she called for improved social, medical and educational services for vulnerable groups, including home care for the elderly and assistive technologies for people with disabilities. Turcan urged the public to review the labor chapter of the government's program for detailed proposals.
