Raluca Turcan urges President Nicușor Dan to name a new prime minister immediately

Raluca Turcan, a member of the Liberal Party, used Facebook to demand that President Nicușor Dan swiftly appoint a prime-minister, arguing that four months of provisional governance is excessive for a nation requiring decisive action. She praised the Bolojan cabinet for delivering reforms, advancing the PNRR, stabilising the economy, and restoring international confidence, yet stressed that a resigned government can only act within narrow limits.

Turcan warned that prolonged uncertainty could raise borrowing costs, erode investor trust, and pressure Romania’s sovereign rating. She called for urgent budget revisions, especially for health and transport, and for the 2027 budget to be prepared. Turcan also reminded that the PNL has ruled out supporting a PSD-led government but remains open to a responsible solution, including a technocratic cabinet of independent professionals.
