Rams cornerback Jaylen Watson out for several weeks after shoulder dislocation

In Sunday night’s 30-26 loss to the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jaylen Watson dislocated his right shoulder late in the first half and was escorted to the locker room. Coach Sean McVay announced that Watson will miss multiple games but will not be placed on injured reserve, allowing a potential return sooner than the four-game minimum. Watson’s injury mirrors a prior shoulder issue, and teammate Trent McDuffie pledged to invite him over for dinner and keep him involved with the team.

McVay also noted that tight end Colby Parkinson’s shoulder status for the upcoming Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles remains unclear, while Terrance Ferguson is doubtful because of an ankle problem. The Rams, already dealing with several injuries, will head to Philadelphia with a thinner roster.
