Rams rally late to defeat Eagles and even their 1-3 start
The Los Angeles Rams erased a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-20, improving to 2-2.
Facing a 10-point shortfall in the final minutes, the Rams responded with a 10-play, 98-yard drive that cut the lead to 20-17, followed by another 10-play, 79-yard series ending in a Kyren Williams touchdown. The victory marked Sean McVay’s inaugural triumph over Eagles coach Nick Sirianni and lifted Los Angeles to a 2-2 record after a rocky start. Matthew Stafford threw 32 of 51 passes for 317 yards but recorded no touchdowns and two interceptions, continuing his season-long interception streak.
The defense, playing without Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett, sacked Jalen Hurts four times and limited Philadelphia to 172 total yards. Looking ahead, the Rams will travel to face the 3-1 Buffalo Bills.
Why it matters
The win prevents an early-season slide for a playoff-contending team and showcases their resilience after multiple errors.
