Rangers prepare to sign PSV winger Couhaib Driouech ahead of Friday deadline

Rangers are set to complete the signing of 24-year-old Moroccan winger Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven, with paperwork expected on Friday.

Rangers are poised to secure the services of 24-year-old Moroccan international Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven, with the transfer expected to be completed on Friday. The winger, who primarily plays on the left flank, arrived at Ibrox to observe the team's fixture against Jagiellonia Bialystok before finalising his contract. In the previous campaign he contributed nine goals and eight assists across 40 appearances, though most of his minutes came as a substitute in both the Eredivisie and Champions League.

Driouech, a former Excelsior and Rotterdam native who also featured for Heerenveen, becomes Rangers' tenth signing this season and the second winger after Daisuke Yokota's arrival from Hannover. Chairman Andrew Cavenagh said the club expects to add three to five more players while also planning some exits, noting midfielder Mohamed Diomande's recent move to Turkish side Corum.

Why it matters

The transfer adds a versatile attacking option to Rangers as they strengthen their squad for upcoming competitions.
