Rapido rolls out its Ownly zero-commission food delivery service in Hyderabad

After a pilot phase that started in August last year in select Bengaluru districts, Rapido has expanded its Ownly food-delivery platform to Hyderabad. The service, launched earlier this year, follows a zero-commission model, charging restaurants a flat subscription rather than a per-order fee, and already partners with more than 20,000 outlets. Integration of Ownly into the primary Rapido mobile app enables customers to place food orders while using the same interface for ride-hailing.

Rapido’s broader ecosystem spans bike taxis, autorickshaws, cabs, parcel delivery, flight bookings and now food delivery, and it is active in over 400 cities with five million rides per day. Analysts at Jefferies project India’s online food-delivery market to reach nearly $25 billion by 2029-30, up from about $9 billion in 2024-25.
