Ravens hopeful cornerbacks Nate Wiggins and Marlon Humphrey to return soon

Baltimore’s secondary may avoid a major setback as coach Jesse Minter reported encouraging progress for cornerbacks Nate Wiggins and Marlon Humphrey. Wiggins was taken off the field after a lower-body strain in a one-on-one drill with rookie Ja'Kobi Lane, but tests showed no structural damage. Humphrey exited practice early following a pass breakup, yet both injuries are described as minor.

The duo will miss the preseason matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, but are expected to practice next week. The Ravens retain sufficient depth, with veteran Chidobe Awuzie and emerging players like T.J. Tampa, Keyon Martin and rookie Chandler Rivers available. Joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings are slated for next week, though participation by the injured corners is not guaranteed.
