Ray LaMontagne collapses onstage in Nashville, treated for dehydration

While playing at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Ray LaMontagne collapsed mid-song, prompting gasps from the audience and a swift response from his staff. A fan-recorded video captured the moment he fell backward after a brief grunt. His representatives announced via Instagram that he was being treated for heat-related dehydration by local EMS and was in good condition.

LaMontagne resumed his Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour the following evening at the Louisville Palace, without addressing the Nashville episode. The tour, which began in late August, will continue through early October with dates in several major U.S. cities. His latest album, “Long Way Home,” was released in August 2024, and he previously won a Grammy for his 2010 record “God Willin’ & The Creek Don’t Rise.”
