In the opening round of the DFB-Pokal, RB Leipzig overwhelmed Eintracht Trier with a 6-0 victory at Moselstadion. Despite trailing after two quick goals from Brajan Gruda and Riddle Baku, Leipzig responded with a goal from Willi Orbán before halftime. New manager Martin Demichelis introduced Rocco Reitz and Conrad Harder, whose partnership produced the fourth goal within ten minutes. The Danish forward Antonio Nusa secured a fifth goal in injury time, while substitute Ezechiel Banzuzi added the sixth as the match concluded. The win sets Leipzig up for a Bundesliga clash against Gladbach next week.
