Reality star says adult-content side gig led to corporate termination

Heather Boyd, a 37-year-old mother of four who appears on TLC’s “Double Lives of Suburban Wives,” revealed that her hidden adult-content enterprise was the reason she was dismissed from her corporate role. Operating under the alias “Hella Hot Wife,” Boyd and her husband Shawn initially posted pictures on X, which rapidly attracted over 1,000 likes and led to a referral to a paid adult-content platform. After earning her first $100 from a lingerie video, she expanded the operation, at times making about $5,000 in a single month.

The couple kept the production space locked away, telling their children it was a home office for Boyd’s corporate work. The series documents how six St. Louis-area couples manage marriages, children, and conventional jobs while running lucrative adult-content side businesses. Despite the job loss, Boyd said she has no regrets about participating in the show.
